The clinic collects the client&#8217;s money and pays you for your services<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under this model, the clinic is responsible for collecting the $100 from the client. You have an agreement with the clinic under which you receive $50 for providing the massage treatment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In that case, the transaction may essentially look like this:<\/strong><br \/>\n<div class=\"su-table su-table-responsive\">\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Client \u2192 Clinic: $100<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Clinic \u2192 Massage therapist: $50<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Your business income from the clinic would generally correspond to the amount the clinic actually pays you for your professional services.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For example<\/strong>, if the clinic paid you $30,000 over the course of the year, your records would normally reflect the amounts you actually received from the clinic for your services, subject of course to the particular contractual and accounting arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Depending on the circumstances and applicable reporting requirements, <strong>the clinic may also provide tax documentation<\/strong>, such as a T4A, showing the fees for services it paid to you during the year.
